Brick Pavers

ICPI Certification
Like any structure that holds up over time, it's the work done on the foundation that makes the biggest difference to the structure's success. The same is true for interlocking brick paver patios and drives. The work we put into the base preparations of our southeastern Pennsylvania paver projects is what makes them withstand time and the elements.

EP Henry Authorization
We've received certification by the ICPI, which means our installations are constructed according to international standards for paver installations. The ICPI is an organization created to study, test and disseminate best practices for the brick paver industry, so that members and certified contractors can provide their clients with projects installed using the most current information and technology. Our installations have also been certified by E.P. Henry as authorized installers. To be authorized by E.P. Henry we have had numerous paver applications inspected for accurate installation procedures and customer satisfaction.

installing brick paverAccording to AASHTO, an engineering organization similar to ICPI, except that it's specifications are utilized by state DOT's for street, road and highway construction across the nation, the recommended thickness of 2A modified crushed stone base for a pedestrian segmental pavement like interlocking brick pavers is 4-6". Because we always want to err on the side of durability and stability, our base preps are always at least 6" thick. We also use a geotextile (also called "geo-blanket") in all circumstances when the soil conditions present a need for separation between soils and crushed stone. The pavers are then laid atop a one inch layer of Tilcon Concrete sand.

The interlocking pavers we use atop our engineered base preparations are the best available; E.P. Henry and Hanover, and they come with an all inclusive, industry leading 5 year warranty.
